Nuked Again!

I recently tried an experiment in period SF.  I wrote a fifties style pulp piece with a hard-boiled reporter as my main character and set the action in L.A. in 1959.  The story was inspired by friend Pete Noyes’s account of the Rocketdyne nuclear reactor meltdown that irradiated Southern California back then.  Didn’t know about that?  Surprise, surprise!   aliendrivingspaceshiprgb

Anyway, editor Beryl Belsky published the story at her The Writer’s Drawer website and subsequently included it in her new anthology A Certain Kind of Freedom.  The anthology got a good review on Amazon and “Nuked” got a nice mention.  Take a peek here:   http://www.amazon.com/Certain-Kind-Freedom-Stories-Writers/dp/1492890316/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1385364314&sr=1-1&keywords=a+certain+kind+of+freedom
