I shared many a campfire with Ed McKean, as did my sons. He told funny – if predictable! – stories for all the kids around the circle of firelight. His stories inspired me to write “Pull My Finger”, included in this anthology. Here’s the link:

My story “Hell’s Angel” is in this most interesting volume of satire.
Endgame is the final installment of the Alternative Truths series. In it, you will discover stories of what might be, or not be, all envisioned as possible outcomes of the disastrous 2016 election. Stories of justice, redemption, failure, and laughter. How will this national nightmare of endless tweets and divisive policies, all bent on destroying the very fabric of our democracy, end? Will it find resolution under the rule of law, a flash of nuclear fire, or with the slow methodic collapse of democracy. I don’t know but some of the finest minds in science fiction have taken a crack at it and these are their stories, their visions, and their fears.
“I love the varied voices in these anthologies. End Games really brings home the multitude of opinions and observations in an entertaining and insightful manner. While all the stories are worth your time, I really appreciated those by Louise Marley and K. G. Anderson. B Cubed Press knocks another one out of the park.”
“The book is thoughtful and the pieces curated for their writer’s attention to their craft, but also the poignancy of their themes. Each story, while occasionally, very dark, points to how and where we have gone and perhaps how to course correct. The third in the Alternative Truths series, which shows no indication of losing either steam or focus.”
The book made me laugh out loud. Jim Wright has T***p down perfectly. In the “Final Tweet” I found Nathan Ockerman’s vision of the fleeing conspirators beautiful, he truly captured the antics of Mitch McConnel. As always, David Gerrold made me think and KG Andersons vision of 2020 kept me awake last night as I considered the prophetic nature of her visions. All in all a good book. I enjoyed it.
