The Civil War Remembered

The students and teachers of Chalone Peaks Middle School create a Civil War reenactment each year as an 8th grade civics project. I feel that their hard work deserves wide recognition and praise. My friend and colleague Ed Haskell has taken hundreds of photos these reenactments. I’d like to share some of his fine efforts. Also, I’ve played the part of General Lee for twelve years (It’s the beard) and have recently been asked to visit classrooms in character to discuss the Civil War. Ed’s pictures can serve as an extra resource for students I meet.
